Yo me apunto! Me interesaría a futuro compartir un espacio. Requeriría un espacio para la compu y si pudiera haber espacio para un restirador o 2 con muy buena luz. Básico para mi sería una salita de juntas privada

These all are relevant questions to be asking before jumping into a lease or purchase of real estate for your coworking community. Community is wonderful, but who's responsible for making the property payments, light bills, equipment lease payments, taking out the trash, maintenance, dishes, cutting the grass...These responsibilities and more will be up for discussion when considering where and how your coworking community will function. Do you really want to become a property manager/owner? Coworkers in Chattanooga, TN enjoy the freedom of not having to worry about these issues and more by being located in a full-service office business center. We manage the space and promote what our coworkers are doing through networking events, personal introductions, e-news articles, and our social media outlets. We also offer a staffed lobby, conference room, color copier/scanner/fax, postage meter, private breakroom, wi-fi, desks, chairs, personal storage, business concierge services and more. Our whole intent is to spoil our coworking members, get them connected with resources to be successful, and keep them from having to "manage the work space." Our coworking members only worry about the work they want to accomplish and their membership fee. You'll also have the joys of branding, promotion and marketing so your community will grow. Remember as a coworking community you'll be competing with Starbucks and other commercial real estate locations to reel in your members. Make sure you're "signed on" for this piece of community development. The "field of dreams" you envisioned could become your farm of nightmares. Just some things to think about as you're developing your coworking vision. Cordially at your service, Denise Reed www.theconciergelevel.com

Todd commented on Space Catalyst: Getting Started

Hello everybody, thank you very much for taking the time to read this. My name is Todd and I am a recent lay-off of the corporate world. I was reading Entrepreneur magazine, trying to figure out, "What I am going to do with the rest of my life?" when I came across this article: http://www.entrepreneur.com/magazine/entrepreneur/2009/october/203414.html That article instantly reminded me of an old 'work-from-home' roomie of mine who said, "I can't work from home, I do a better job and make more money when I leave the house and go to work." I have a fairly large amount of money to invest or "buy a job." Likely enough to get a coworking space purchased and up and running. It seems to me that coworking spaces are generally not about making a fortune owning and operating, yet I was wondering if anybody is making a living doing this. It has been written in these forums that trying to build a coworking space for profit is really just opening another office and it appears that coworking is really about the community. That's fine, but do any of you think it's possible to put something together in a large city (Charlotte, NC) that could be considered a "hybrid" office/coworking space? Could one cater to professionals that need an office (10ftX12ft) with a door and a coworking professionals community at tables/semi-private areas where everybody shared meeting rooms, a kitchen, restrooms, internet, office equipment, etc? I'd think that a large facility like this would require somebody full time to manage it. A trip to Asheville earlier in the week to see that Locomotivity closed up shop (although it never would have been a good example of what I have envisioned) was not encouraging. I will, in the near future, visit a few operating spaces. So, that is where I am right now and I am hoping this community will comment and help in my assessment of this potential venture and point me in the right direction. Thanks again for your time and consideration.

Hi everyone, I've been thinking about what it's going to take to set-up a Coworking Space here in Santiago for a while now. I've gone so far as to scout for suitable place to put the office, but I've come to a point where I need some input from the community. I have set-up a small survey on the Coworking Santiago website in order to get feedback from anyone who might be interested in participating. Please go check it out. http://linklet.coworkingsantiago.com/survey

Ah, I see the issue. I accessed this page several times vis the Coworking Visa page. What occurred is you (or someone) linked your general page to the page from the Visa page. What you can do is restore this page (look at page history) and CHANGE the link from the Coworking page to one a new one that is aligned to the coworking visa format. If you need help drop me an email.

I'm happy to do it. I'm wondering why it was up to you to delete everything when I thought that this was a general information page about my center. I'm also wondering about the "coworking visa details" I'm supposed to follow. When I created all of this, I looked at everything. Perhaps I missed it somehow nonetheless.
